Sumrick was chosen by the insurance company for water damage in our kitchen, which resulted in a full kitchen remodel. 30% of the cost was paid by my family. There were hiccups and delays along the way which I was willing to stay silent about but the last straw was the final day of installation. Approximately 1 hour after the work crew left, the kitchen sink would not drain. All we did was wash plates that had dust on it from the renovation. We contacted the project manager who told us "maybe a piece macaroni" was clogging the drain and that we should buy draino. 1. There was no food in the sink. 2. You just left my house. Someone should have come back to take a look. 3. Why should I buy draino if you literally just left my house? So instead they chose to come back 3 days later (which left us with a non functional kitchen) snake the sink, which consisted of 7 hairs( I counted and have pictures )and a literal smear of grease. I'm no plumber but I know that was impossible to clog a drain. Instead of admitting that the installation wasn't done correctly they chose to bill $165 more. Integrity goes a long way with me and this was not right. I hope the $165 was worth it. Let's be clear after paying $13k on top of what the insurance company paid it's the principle, because I pay what I owe.

Hi Mrs. Richardson,We’re very sorry to hear you felt disappointed at the end of your project. We truly value your investment in your home and regret that this experience left you feeling frustrated. I did some investigating before replying. Below are my findings as we document everything, daily logs, phone calls, photos, invoices, and all interactions with our clients. As you can see your 1 star rating is very inconsistent to what our 5 Star rating standards have been felt by other clients. To clarify, before leaving your home, our team tested the new sink together with you and your daughter and everything drained properly. The next morning, we received a message about the sink not draining. Our office was closed, but your project manager responded within an hour of your portal message. At first, it appeared to be a typical drain stoppage, which is why we suggested a simple fix that might save you the cost of a service call. When the issue continued, we scheduled a licensed plumber who removed the new plumbing under the sink and confirmed the clog was inside the existing drain line within the wall — not in the new sink installation. Our photo on file shows used cooking oil mixed with hair. While the plumber’s visit did incur a charge, our system created an invoice, of which we have not elected to collect on and was not paid.We acknowledge that delays earlier in the project were difficult, many of which were related to waiting for insurance approvals or design layouts, of which are both outside of our control. We understand how challenging that can be and appreciated your patience during those periods. Our goal is always to deliver quality work and have Happy Clients!

From start with Patrick to finish with Kevin everything went extremely well with our bathroom remodel. Sumrick is very professional in communicating the next steps in a renovation.
Their workers were punctual everyday and even stayed late when needed to. We also used Sumrick to replace our laminate kitchen countertops with Quartz, came our fantastic. I would highly recommend them.

Patrick Chiarelli is a superstar. His knowledge in sales and construction is unmatched. Sumrick's line of "if you can dream it, we can build it" is 100% accurate. Patrick takes the time to sit down and go over every single item on an estimate and will take a step further and explain why each item is there and why it is necessary to the project. I highly recommend Sumrick Builders for all of your home construction needs!
